When the Fire Grows Quiet, Who Will Tend It?

When the Fire Grows Quiet, Who Will Tend It?

There was a time when every fire had a keeper.

Someone who knew when to stir it…
when to feed it…
and when to gather the family close so no one drifted too far into the dark.

That role was never random.

It belonged to the woman who could see beyond today.

Now look around.

The fire still burns… but softer.
Scattered.
Unattended in places it once stood strong.

And many women… especially those who have built full, successful lives…
believe their work is done.

But Elder work does not begin when life slows down.

It begins when you realize the family still needs direction.

Not control.
Not perfection.

Direction.

Who will remind them what matters?
Who will speak the stories before they are forgotten?
Who will hold the line when the world pulls them away from each other?

If the fire grows quiet…

It is not because the family stopped needing it.

It is because no one chose to tend it.

So I ask you… not as a question, but as a calling:

Are you watching the fire… or are you willing to rise and keep it burning?
